About The Position

Sky Lakes Medical Center is seeking an Anesthesiologist to join their dependable, collegial team. This is an opportunity to support community growth and optimize a long-term care model in a supportive environment. The role offers a chance to mentor CRNAs and transition into a leadership role. The position involves an independent, full-scope practice with a diverse case mix including General Surgery, Orthopedics, GYN, ENT, Podiatry, Urology, Spine, Vascular, Trauma (Level III facility), Healthy Pediatrics, and a strong emphasis on Regional anesthesia. The role also includes providing care for a Family Birthing Center, managing approximately 600 deliveries per year. Clinical environments include the Main Hospital OR, a dedicated Labor & Delivery OR, and an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). A daily float position bridges the main OR and ASC. Daily case volume averages 3-6 main OR cases or 8-12 endoscopy cases. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with a manageable 1:5 shared call coverage where CRNAs take first call and physicians provide backup. Call totals up to 6 days per month and includes at least one weekend.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Eligible for or holding an active Oregon medical license.
  • A dependable, collegial team player.

Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care in a collaborative and independent care model.
  • Rotate between scheduled cases and provide backup call and mentorship to CRNAs.
  • Cover the Main Hospital OR, Labor & Delivery OR, and Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).
  • Care for patients undergoing a diverse case mix including General Surgery, Orthopedics, GYN, ENT, Podiatry, Urology, Spine, Vascular, Trauma, Pediatrics, and Regional anesthesia.
  • Provide anesthesia support for the Family Birthing Center.
  • Participate in shared call coverage (1:5).
