About The Position

Orlando Health is seeking a BE/BC Anesthesiologist to join their Ambulatory Anesthesiology team for their multispecialty ASCs. The role involves joining a collaborative team of anesthesiologists and advanced practice anesthesia providers to deliver exceptional patient care. The case mix is diverse, including Colorectal, GI, Bariatrics, Plastics, Adult & Peds ENT, Urology, Spine, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, and Ortho. The position is based at various Ambulatory Anesthesiology locations including Physicians Surgical Care Center in Winter Park, Rinehart Surgery Center in Lake Mary, Orlando Surgery Center in Winter Park, Orange Avenue Surgery Center in Orlando, and Lakeview Surgery Center in Orlando.

Requirements

Must be an M.D. or D.O.
Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Anesthesiology Residency program
Board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology
Must complete and meet hospital credentialing requirements
Must hold or be able to obtain active Florida medical license prior to start
Not a J-1 sponsored position

Responsibilities

Collaborative member of anesthesiology department to work with surgeons, nurses, and other medical professionals
Partnership with surgeons and administration
Evaluate and formulate anesthetic plan for patients undergoing surgical and/or diagnostic care
Supervision/Medical Direction of certified anesthetists delivering anesthesia
Personally administer anesthesia intraoperatively with continuous monitoring of vital signs and titration of anesthesia needed
Maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures
Attends and participates in departmental meetings and educational initiatives
Teach student anesthetists, residents, fellows or other learners
