About The Position
St. Martha's Regional Hospital in Antigonish, NS is seeking a permanent, full-time Anesthesiologist to join their team. This facility serves a population of nearly 75,000 and offers the experience of working with a collegial team of anesthesiologists and surgeons in a community regional hospital. There is an opportunity to engage in research and/or have medical teaching positions with Dalhousie University. St. Martha's Regional Hospital is an approximately 94-bed, acute care facility with over 80 physicians practicing in various specialties. Requirements
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS).
- Eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).
- Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA), or proof of alternative coverage.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).

Responsibilities
- Full scope of practice as an anesthesiologist providing care to patients within the eastern zone and participating in call.
- Responsible to the Zone Department Head of Anesthesia for professional responsibilities and quality of practice.
- Operate within the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of Nova Scotia Health Authority.
- Participate in quality improvement and evaluation activities.
