About The Position

Bassett Healthcare Network, in central New York is seeking full-time BC/BE Anesthesiologists. This is an opportunity to join a progressive academic health system and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. The role involves providing full-spectrum anesthesia services to a diverse patient population with a strong focus on safety and quality. There are opportunities for teaching SRNAs, medical students, and residents, with access to mentoring and leadership development. The position offers flexible practice locations across Cooperstown, Oneonta, Cobleskill, and Little Falls, with flexibility for anesthesiologists living in Albany, Binghamton, Utica, or Syracuse. Visa sponsorship is available for J-1 and H-1B candidates.

Requirements

BC/BE in Anesthesiology
Completion of an accredited USA Anesthesiology residency, successful completion of which results in board eligibility
New York medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
BLS certification required
Strong teamwork, patient-centered approach, and ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary academic setting.

Responsibilities

Provide full-spectrum anesthesia services to a diverse patient population.
Work within a supportive medical direction model with opportunities for solo cases.
Manage a reasonable call schedule (3–4 per month) with post-call day off and nocturnist support.
Teach SRNAs, medical students, and residents.
Participate in mentoring and leadership development programs.
