About The Position

The Anesthesiologist treats patients at Northwestern Medical Group and Northwestern Medicine hospitals, offices, and other healthcare facilities as assigned by the President of NMG or a designee. The physician maintains a clinical schedule at the days, hours, and locations needed to provide timely and comprehensive care to NMG patients and provides on-call coverage as reasonably required. The role includes referring patients who need specialized care to appropriate providers and facilities in NMG’s affiliated network, subject to patient preference, insurance determinations, and the physician’s medical judgment. The physician also participates regularly in practice unit meetings and quality assurance activities, complies with NMG billing, documentation, and related policies and systems, and performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned.

Requirements

Board eligible or board certified (BE/BC).

Responsibilities

Treat patients at Northwestern Medical Group and Northwestern Medicine hospitals, offices, and healthcare facilities as assigned.
Maintain a clinical schedule at the days, hours, and locations needed to provide timely and comprehensive medical services.
Provide on-call coverage as reasonably required by NMG.
Refer patients requiring specialized care to appropriate specialists and healthcare providers and facilities, subject to patient preference, insurer determinations, and the patient’s best medical interests.
Participate regularly in practice unit meetings and quality assurance activities.
Comply with NMG billing, documentation, and related policies, procedures, systems, and practices.
Perform other duties consistent with the position as assigned by the President of NMG or a designee.
