About The Position

St. Lawrence Health is looking for full-time Anesthesiologists to join their team of dedicated providers. The ideal candidate will be Board Eligible within 5 years of completing residency or Board Certified in Anesthesiology. The role involves performing anesthesia on all ages and requires comfort with obstetric anesthesia and placing central lines, particularly for ICU use. Occasional assistance with airway management in the ED and ICU is expected. Standard OR procedures include thoracic anesthesia, but not hearts, vascular, heads, spines, or sick kids. Comfort with basic regional procedures is also necessary. Regular OR hours are 7:30 am – 3:30 pm, with the main site running 7 rooms per day (4 in the main OR and 3 in the Leroy Outpatient Center). Occasional services may be provided at two additional locations, with a possibility of medical directorship at one of them. The call schedule is 1:5. From Sunday to Friday, a CRNA takes primary call, and the Anesthesiologist is backup. On Saturdays, the Anesthesiologist is on primary call, and the CRNA is backup.

Requirements

Board Eligible within 5 years of completing residency or Board Certified in Anesthesiology.
Comfortable with obstetric anesthesia.
Comfortable placing central lines – particularly for use in the ICU.
Comfortable with basic regional procedures.
Must be able to perform standard OR procedures to include thoracic anesthesia (no hearts, vascular, heads, spines, sick kids).

Nice To Haves

Will occasionally be called to assist with airway management in the ED and ICU.
