About The Position

We are seeking an Anesthesiologist for a Locum Tenens position in Eureka, CA. This inpatient role involves clinical duties and on-call responsibilities, covering a variety of surgical cases including general, obstetrics, neurosurgery, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, pediatrics, and trauma. The coverage period is from January 01, 2027, ongoing, with 8-12 hour weekday shifts and weeknight/weekend beeper call. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.

Responsibilities

Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia for a variety of surgical cases including obstetrics, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and trauma.
Perform pre-operative assessments and develop anesthesia care plans.
Manage airway and ventilation, including difficult airway management.
Place central venous and arterial lines as needed.
Provide acute pain management including epidurals and nerve blocks.
