About The Position

We are seeking an Anesthesiologist for a Locum Tenens position in Duluth, MN. This inpatient role involves clinical duties and call coverage for a variety of surgical cases, including cardiac, orthopedic, neurosurgical, obstetrical, and pediatric. The position requires providing anesthesia care, managing perioperative patients, and participating in call with a 20-minute response time. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a Level I Pediatric service and 15 operating rooms, utilizing the Epic EMR system.

Requirements

Board Certified (BC)
Licensed in MN or Universal License (IMLC)
BLS certification
ACLS certification
PALS certification
Experienced with Cardiac cases including CABG

Responsibilities

Provide general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for diverse surgical cases (cardiac, neuro, orthopedic, obstetric, pediatric, and trauma).
Supervise and collaborate with CRNAs and anesthesia assistants in a team-based model.
Manage perioperative patient assessment, monitoring, and post-operative care, including pain management.
Participate in beeper call coverage with 20-minute response time for emergencies and urgent procedures.
Perform procedures such as central/arterial line placement, PA catheter insertion, and ultrasound-guided blocks.
