About The Position

Sky Lakes Medical Center is seeking a collaborative and team-oriented Anesthesiologist to join their growing team in Klamath Falls, Oregon. This role offers a full-scope, independent practice with a diverse case mix, including General Surgery, Orthopedics, GYN, ENT, Podiatry, Urology, Spine, Vascular, Trauma (Level III), Pediatrics, and a strong emphasis on Regional anesthesia. The position also involves providing care for approximately 600 deliveries per year at the Family Birthing Center. The medical center utilizes a collaborative care model where CRNAs practice at full scope, with MDs providing scheduled cases, backup call, and mentorship. The team is expanding from 3.5 physicians and 1.5 CRNAs to an optimized target of 4 MDs and 6 CRNAs. Clinical environments include the Main Hospital OR, Labor & Delivery OR, and an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) across the street, with a daily float position to cover both. Daily case volume averages 3-6 main OR cases or 8-12 endoscopy cases. The position is structured as an independent contractor (1099 model) with a base package of $560,000, plus additional incentives for call pay, post-call shift pay, and extra weeks worked. A sign-on bonus of $75,000 - $100,000 is negotiable. The role offers 13 weeks of time off annually. Sky Lakes Medical Center is open to candidates ahead of residency completion and supports J-1 and H1-B visa sponsorships.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-scope anesthesia care in a diverse case mix including General Surgery, Orthopedics, GYN, ENT, Podiatry, Urology, Spine, Vascular, Trauma, Pediatrics, and Regional anesthesia.
• Care for patients in the Main Hospital OR, Labor & Delivery OR, and Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).
• Support approximately 600 deliveries per year at the Family Birthing Center.
• Mentor and provide backup call for a skilled CRNA team.
• Participate in a shared call coverage schedule (1:5), including at least one weekend per month.
• Potentially transition into a local leadership role.
