About The Position
NorthStar Anesthesia is seeking a full-time Medical Director of Anesthesia at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA. This leadership role offers a strong compensation package, inclusive benefits, and a sign-on bonus. The Medical Director will be responsible for setting clinical objectives, ensuring high standards of patient care, collaborating with physician leadership, mentoring anesthesia staff, and driving initiatives for improved patient outcomes and operational efficiency. The position is within a collaborative care team environment with a diverse case mix including general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry, gynecology, gastroenterology, urology, occasional pediatric cases, ophthalmologic, pain, plastics, and cardiac cases.
Requirements
- ABA/AOBA certification
- State licensing
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- CV Fellowship trained or at a minimum TEE Certified (for Cardiovascular Anesthesia services).
