The Anesthesia Technician I-IV supports anesthesia services for JPS Health Network. This role assists with patient care in a way that minimizes the risk of transfer of infection, biological hazards, and accidental contamination and protects the patient from harm. The technician demonstrates knowledge of the purpose, use, and care of physiological monitors relating to the administration of anesthesia. They coordinate medication and equipment throughout anesthesia operations, assist in monitoring adequate availability and stocking of supplies and equipment according to the established PAR level, and perform clerical functions as required. Additionally, the role involves collecting data for unit-specific process improvement and performing point-of-care testing in accordance with hospital policy. The technician also demonstrates proper handling of bulk and cylinder gases. The job description is not an all-inclusive list of duties and may be subject to change.
