About The Position

The Department of Biological Sciences at Binghamton University is seeking candidates for a full-time position as Instructional Support Associate for the anatomy and physiology laboratory courses, beginning Fall 2026. This role involves teaching laboratory sections, managing supplies, preparing materials, and coordinating with faculty and staff. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in biology or a related field
• Organizational and written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree (or higher) in biology or a related field
• Training or experience in anatomy and physiology
• Laboratory experience
• Work experience at the college level
• Experience in assisting in teaching anatomy and physiology courses

Responsibilities

• Teaching in-person anatomy and physiology laboratory sections (including evening labs).
• Weekly grading, ordering supplies, and preparing materials for laboratory courses in anatomy and physiology.
• Participating in weekly meetings to support scheduling and coordination of instructional support activities in the laboratory spaces on campus.
• Assisting with the handling, dissection, and disposal of preserved mammalian specimens (including cats).
• Coordinating, communicating, and collaborating with faculty and staff.

Benefits

• The salary for this position is $51,261.
