About The Position

Pathlink is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist (AP/CP) to join the Department of Pathology at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers, New York. This part-time, per diem, hospital-based position provides coverage for vacations, sick leave, and other scheduled absences. The role offers flexible scheduling in a collaborative pathology team and a modern laboratory environment. The typical caseload is 20–25 cases per day, with a schedule that may vary based on need; the stated typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The position includes limited grossing and competitive compensation.

Requirements

MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP).
Eligible for or currently licensed to practice medicine in New York.
Excellent diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Examine, interpret, and diagnose surgical pathology and cytology specimens.
Interpret clinical laboratory findings and provide pathology consultations.
Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support patient care.
Prepare accurate and timely pathology reports.
Participate in quality assurance, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance activities.
Maintain compliance with hospital and laboratory accreditation standards.
