Pathologist - Per Diem Anatomic & Clinical Pathologist (AP/CP)
About The Position
Pathlink is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist (AP/CP) to join the Department of Pathology at Pathlink at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Yonkers, NY. This part-time, per-diem hospital-based opportunity offers a flexible schedule and coverage for vacations, sick leave, and other scheduled absences. The role typically involves 20–25 cases per day, with a schedule depending on need, typically Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The position includes limited grossing and work in a modern laboratory environment alongside a collaborative pathology team.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP).
- Eligible for or currently licensed to practice medicine in New York.
- Excellent diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Examine, interpret, and diagnose surgical pathology and cytology specimens.
- Interpret clinical laboratory findings and provide pathology consultations.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support outstanding patient care.
- Prepare accurate and timely pathology reports.
- Participate in quality assurance, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance activities.
- Maintain compliance with hospital and laboratory accreditation standards.
