About The Position

Flint Hills Resources is hiring for an Analyzer Technician to join the maintenance group at their refinery in Corpus Christi, Texas. Analyzer Technicians are responsible for all aspects of maintenance, modification, calibration, and testing of analyzer instruments. This role involves assisting and performing reliable analyzer maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting, both self-planned and scheduled. The technician will monitor for equipment failures and conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment function. Additionally, the role includes improving existing process analyzer systems, collaborating with team members, and repairing components of the process analyzer loop, including sample system parts like tubing, valves, and fittings.

Requirements

Minimum one year of work experience as an analyzer technician working in live process units at a refining, chemical, or power plant or similar.
Mechanical skills.
Valid US Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Carry out all aspects of maintenance, modification, calibration and testing of analyzer instruments.
Assist and perform reliable analyzer maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting (self-planned and scheduled).
Watch out for equipment failures and perform preventative maintenance to ensure things stay in good working order.
Improve existing process analyzer systems while working with others on your team.
Repair any part of the process analyzer loop, including components of the sample systems (tubing, valves, fittings) when needed.
Assist Analyzer Technicians with troubleshooting, configuring, and teardown/rebuilding of process analyzers.
Suggest and develop PM and repair optimization ideas.
Maintain shop documentation.
Perform Analyzer Mechanical Integrity testing.
Perform Cylinder Gas Audits.
Identify training needs and take a lead role in obtaining training approved with Analyzer craft lead.
