Analytics Manager, Business Intelligence & Reporting

As the Manager of Business Intelligence & Reporting at Hims & Hers, you will be responsible for shaping and expanding the reporting suite for the executive audience. Your expertise in data visualization and BI software such as Looker and Tableau will play a vital role in enhancing decision-making processes across the organization. This fully remote position will require collaboration with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into meaningful visualizations. By designing visually appealing and intuitive dashboards, you will enable executives to make well-informed business decisions based on trusted and standardized data products.

• Design and create visually appealing and intuitive Looker dashboards and reports for an executive audience
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into meaningful visualizations
• Develop dashboards and a dashboard suite that tell compelling stories and highlight key insights for informed business decisions
• Apply best practices and design principles to ensure clarity, consistency, and usability of dashboards
• Continuously improve and refine existing Looker dashboards and reports for enhanced visual appeal and effectiveness in communicating insights
• Work closely with data engineers to ensure data accuracy and integrity within Looker and optimize visualization performance
• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in data visualization techniques, tools, and design principles
• Provide guidance and training to team members on best practices
• Strong experience in data visualization, including designing and building visually stunning dashboards and reports
• Minimum of 3+ years working with BI software (Looker or Tableau) and a strong understanding of its features and capabilities
• Experience building custom visualizations and extensions in Looker using Javascript, React, or D3
• Excellent knowledge of data visualization best practices, design principles, and usability concepts
• Ability to transform complex data sets into clear and concise visualizations
• Proficiency in data storytelling and presenting data in a narrative format
• Experience working with executive-level stakeholders and delivering insights for strategic decision-making
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data manipulation
• Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate data-driven insights to non-technical audiences
• Passion for creating visually appealing and impactful dashboards
• Proficiency in Python/R (a plus)
• Solid portfolio demonstrating a strong visual eye (a plus)
• Knowledgeable about statistics and data science (a plus)
• 2+ years of leading analytics teams with direct reports (a plus)

Strong experience in data visualization (minimum of 3+ years of experience), including designing and building visually stunning dashboards and reports

Minimum of 3+ years working with BI software (Looker or Tableau) and a strong understanding of its features and capabilities for creating engaging visualizations

Experience building custom visualizations and extensions in Looker using Javascript, React or D3. Or related experience building custom visualizations in other applications

Excellent knowledge of data visualization best practices, design principles, and usability concepts

Ability to transform complex data sets into clear and concise visualizations that effectively convey insights

Proficiency in data storytelling, presenting data in a narrative format to drive understanding and decision-making

Experience working with executive-level stakeholders and delivering insights that support strategic decision-making

3+ years experience and strong knowledge of SQL and data manipulation

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate data-driven insights to non-technical audiences

Passion for creating visually appealing and impactful dashboards

Like to tinker and code (Python/R)

Have a solid portfolio of past work that demonstrates a strong visual eye

Are knowledgeable about statistics and data science

2+ years of leading analytics teams with direct reports
