About The Position

Supports ongoing maintenance of customer accounts, payment billing systems, and client billing. Ensures payments received through a variety of channels are recognized and posted against the correct account and invoice. Collaborates with Relationship Managers to structure, finalize and implement billing agreements for new and existing clients, ensuring accurate and compliant implementation. Maintains comprehensive billing documentation, ensuring accuracy for internal controls, audits, and compliance assessments. Monitors overdue accounts and outstanding receivables, initiating timely collection activities, negotiating payment terms, and escalating high-risk cases to ensure prompt resolution. Verifies the accuracy of invoice details, including fees, taxes, and special arrangements, ensuring compliance with client contracts, tax regulations, and internal billing policies. Reviews the full payment processing cycle, ensuring payments across all channels (wire, check, bank transfer) are reconciled, allocated correctly, and discrepancies are promptly addressed in collaboration with clients and finance teams. Manages the fee billing workflow, including pricing terms and invoicing schedules, ensuring that inquiries, requests, and disputes are tracked, prioritized, and resolved within defined service level agreements (SLAs). Designs billing arrangements, including bundled services, volume-based pricing, and negotiated fees, tailored to client needs and correctly integrated into the billing systems. Identifies billing data trends and performs in-depth analysis to uncover issues, propose process or system improvements, and implement solutions to prevent recurring problems. Supports execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Conducts research on billing issues, transactions, and systems errors, providing necessary clarifications to internal teams and clients. Structures, negotiates and finalizes billing agreements, ensuring compliance and accuracy across client accounts. Monitors overdue accounts, negotiates payment terms, initiates collection activities, and escalates high-risk cases to mitigate financial risk. Manages the payment processing lifecycle and billing workflows, ensuring accurate allocation of payments, resolving discrepancies and inquiries. Ensures alignment with client agreements and operational guidelines. Designs and implements customized billing arrangements to meet client and operational needs. Focus may be on a business/group. Thinks creatively and proposes new solutions. Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules. Works mostly independently. Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed. Requirements

  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, Collections, or Financial Operations in a corporate or banking environment is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Business Administration, Finance and Accounting preferred.
  • Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
  • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.
  • Intermediate level of proficiency: Accounts Receivable (AR) Business Transaction Management Financial Resource Management Financial Analysis Electronic Documentation Management Systems Conflict Resolution Negotiation Problem Solving Decision Making
