Requirements

  • BS degree in Chemistry with good understanding of theory for related technique and related operations
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience with MS 365 (Word, Excel) and basic computer systems.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Responsibilities

  • Effectively communicates lab work status, maintains accurate documentation, and completes data forms and reports for supervisory review.
  • Obtaining and control charting Statistical Process Control (SPC), calibration and testing, planning of tests and evaluation of results and reporting opinions and interpretations.
  • Responsibilities may include method modifications and development and validation of new methods.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory and non-laboratory instruments.
  • Performing wet chemistry and basic assays using one of the following techniques: Chromatography (GC, LC, IC, GPC, etc.) Spectroscopy (IR, Raman, etc.) Physical testing (Instron, etc.) Thermal testing (TGA, DSC, etc.)
  • Generate experimental data according to written SOP, protocol, method, or work instruction.
  • Follow a work schedule established by supervisor, and keep supervisor and department resource management tools current with any changes to that work schedule.
  • Obey company work policies and follow all applicable SOPs; ensure that training on both remains current.
  • Achieve customer satisfaction through timely data generation and reporting, compliance with the quality system, and communication to supervisor.
  • Perform lab maintenance duties such as glass washing, waste disposal, inventory management, digital photography, gas cylinder manipulation, etc.
