We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst, Market Intelligence and Commercial Strategy who will provide consulting services both internally and externally to help retail clients optimize their marketing efforts or develop their businesses. Requirements

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in data intelligence or data science, including building and analyzing large datasets to solve business problems. Experience in geo marketing or GIS, an important asset.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a field related to retail or consumer sectors
  • Knowledge of report creation tools such as Power BI
  • Understanding of data extraction and compilation methodologies through applications or protocols such as APIs, web services, packages, etc.
  • Knowledge of Google tools and digital media analytics platforms
  • Knowledge of mapping and spatial analysis software (both web and non-web-based)
  • Familiarity with database software (data blending)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft (advanced level in Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written (regular exchanges with English speaking clients located in Quebec and Ontario)

Responsibilities

  • With a combination of technical expertise and deep business knowledge, you will be responsible for conducting various medium to high complexity analyses, either independently or with colleagues.
  • You will play an active role in developing and improving analytical methodologies, processes, tools, and data to transform them into business recommendations that support strategic commercial decisions.
  • You will support management in the development and implementation of performance indicators covering various sectors of TC Transcontinental's Retail Services & Printing sector.
  • A significant part of this role involves the strategic analysis of multiple sources of data and then, creating reports and PowerPoint presentations that clearly present actionable insights and recommendations to improve marketing You will also act as a mentor for intermediate or junior business analysts.
