About The Position

Intact Gestion de Placements Inc. is a subsidiary of Intact Financial Corporation (ICF). Our investment team manages $40 billion in assets from our Montreal office. We specialize in the active management of equity and fixed income portfolios for our parent company, Intact, as well as for institutional investor clients. Requirements

• Master's degree in finance or a related field.
• Possess or be willing to obtain the CFA designation.
• In-depth knowledge of Excel.
• Minimum of 0 to 4 years of investment experience.
• Bilingualism (French/English) - Necessity to interact regularly with colleagues across the country.

Nice To Haves

• Programming skills: VBA and/or Python.
• Ease navigating and consulting programs: Bloomberg, Capital IQ, and/or ClariFI.
• Interest and curiosity in the stock market.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve quantamental investment strategies, as well as reports and decision-making tools.
• Identify and suggest investment alternatives to managers to quantitatively optimize portfolios.
• Propose quantitative and artificial intelligence-related improvements to enrich the investment process and decision-making.
• Collaborate closely with managers on active management mandates and lead special projects on various investment issues.
• Be at the heart of decisions by participating in team meetings where discussions are lively.
• Ensure the accuracy of portfolio performance, attribution, and analysis of return sources.
• Enhance knowledge of public markets through research and meetings with sell-side analysts and management of publicly traded companies.
• Potentially cover one or more economic sectors, make investment recommendations, and manage a sector equity portfolio.
