About The Position

The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst (CAT1) to join our Quality Customer Line team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work jointly with the Pre-flight and Delivery team at Airbus. You will be part of the Quality Customer Line team responsible for preparing aircraft for Flight, certification and delivery to customers. The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively. Your role as Quality Assurance Analyst (CAT1) will be to declare aircraft ready for the production flight-testing phase and ensuring the aircraft conforms to its approved design data for safe operation.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a DEC in Engineering or Aeronautics with a minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Hold a valid AME M2 license or USA A&P license for large aircraft.
  • Bilingual.
  • Knowledge of standards and regulations (AS9100, TCCA, FAA, EASA).
  • Desire for continuous improvement and problem solving.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical spirit and ability to solve problems effectively.
  • Leadership, autonomy, ability to work in a team and professionalism.
  • Logical and flexible mind with a sense of initiative and attention to detail.
  • Awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Declare aircraft ready for the production flight-testing phase.
  • Declare that the aircraft conforms to its approved design data, is in condition for safe operation and issues the AI-100 Statement of Conformity.
  • Verify conformity after the AI-100 Statement of Conformity is issued and more work is performed on a newly manufactured aircraft.
  • Make required logbook entries.
  • Make an application for a Certificate of Airworthiness, form 24-0043 and an application for an Export Airworthiness Certificate, form 24-0050 and flight permit request 24-0044.
  • Make an Airworthiness Directives status report and certifies compliance in the required logbook.
  • Investigate and close (including physical) the Transport Canada snags.
  • Implement innovative solutions that will improve the way we do business, improve quality and customer satisfaction, and reduce costs.
  • Manage quality projects to meet specific requirements and customer satisfaction.
  • Act as an agent of change to promote quality culture throughout the company.
  • Being able to investigate and identify risks.
  • Manage priorities in line with objectives.
