About The Position

The Analyst will be responsible for delivering actionable insights that drive profitability and operational excellence across our casino and gaming operations. The Analyst is responsible for translating data into actionable recommendations, partnering with casino operations, marketing, and food and beverage teams to improve profitability and guest experience. Responsibilities are performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures. This position directly reports to the VP of Planning & Analysis.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
  • Strong SQL or data manipulation skills (joins, aggregations, validation)
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Advanced Excel modeling experience and working with BI tools
  • Must be flexible, able to handle multiple tasks, and establish priorities effectively.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality using discretion and independent judgment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science & Analytics or Business Administration with a Data Analytics emphasis or related field required; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Commission, which includes passing a background investigation.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting North Fork Mono Casino's culture and always demonstrating exemplary Service Standards.
  • Daily analysis of all operating areas including labor reporting and forecasting, helping to build and maintain labor analytics and reporting.
  • Ensure property compliance with the labor compendium.
  • Periodic audit of departmental schedules comparing projected business volumes to current labor levels including periodically performing time and motion studies of key operating areas for the purpose of validating labor standards.
  • Meet with department heads to discuss and identify opportunities to increase efficiency within each department.
  • Help department management with understanding their financial reports to aid in preparation for monthly financial reviews.
  • Improve data quality, definitions, and metric governance; ensure consistency across reporting and planning processes.
  • Assist management with any ad hoc projects as determined necessary and essential to the success of the property.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
