About The Position

The Analyst Program at Bessemer Venture Partners (Bessemer) operates on an apprenticeship model, bringing in ambitious and aspiring investors directly from or shortly after completing their undergraduate studies for a selective, two-year program. Based in the New York City office, analysts collaborate globally with other Bessemer investment professionals and work with world-class company founders and executives. The program provides hands-on training for foundational investing skills, mentorship, and invaluable experience. Analysts are critical members of the team, participating in weekly partnership meetings and making a significant impact on the firm. The role requires an enterprising spirit, empathy, and a deep understanding of business operations, serving as a primary contact for startup founders. This is a full-time employee position beginning July 2027, with the possibility to advance to an Associate role within Bessemer.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate students or students enrolled in a five-year combined bachelor’s and master’s program who are expected to complete all degree requirements and graduate between December 2026 (end of winter term) and September 2027 (end of summer term).
  • Deep curiosity about technology evolution, societal trends, and entrepreneurship
  • Demonstrated leadership on campus and/or beyond it
  • Highly effective communication and persuasion skills
  • Unrelenting determination
  • Reasonable fluency in fundamental business concepts
  • Successfully completing a background check.
  • Acknowledging, agreeing to, and adhering to Bessemer's policies and procedures, including a confidentiality agreement.
  • Providing proof of your eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Sourcing new investment opportunities
  • Deep research in the diligence, roadmap, and deal-making processes
  • Working alongside Bessemer team members to help portfolio companies flourish
  • Interact with 100+ CEOs to identify seed-stage to Series C startups disrupting a wide range of industries: vertical software, AI infrastructure, supply chain, healthcare, climate, and consumer internet.
  • Work closely with the firm’s partners to conduct due diligence on the investment opportunities you discover and help develop new investment roadmaps.
  • Develop an eye for identifying the most exciting sectors and business opportunities in the innovation economy, build a deep understanding of business models, and grow an extensive network of entrepreneurs and VC colleagues.

  • Annual Salary: The base salary for this position is $115,000 per year.
