WBS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an Analyst in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This position offers a flexible work arrangement (remote/hybrid) with time spent in the Milwaukee office. This position is part of a job family (Associate Analyst, Analyst) where experience will be the determining factor. Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related business degree is required. (May 2026 Graduates are eligible to apply)
- Entry level position where some work experience is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with financial/accounting controls
- Perform closing procedures including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis
- Collaborate and assist with the preparation of forecasts and budgets
- Monitor the integrity of the systems and general ledger transactions
- Prepare internal and external financial reports
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, Sarbanes Oxley, and various commission reporting
- Provide back up and rotation of responsibilities
- Analyze large amounts of data and maintain complex spreadsheets
- Utilize various forecasting, reporting and general ledger software
- Provide communication related to financial statements, data requests and month end closing processes
- Proactively improve processes and business solutions
- This position requires working additional hours during certain times of the month
