WBS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an Analyst in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This position offers a flexible work arrangement (remote/hybrid) with time spent in the Milwaukee office. This position is part of a job family (Associate Analyst, Analyst) where experience will be the determining factor. Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related business degree is required. (May 2026 Graduates are eligible to apply)
  • Entry level position where some work experience is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with financial/accounting controls
  • Perform closing procedures including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Collaborate and assist with the preparation of forecasts and budgets
  • Monitor the integrity of the systems and general ledger transactions
  • Prepare internal and external financial reports
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, Sarbanes Oxley, and various commission reporting
  • Provide back up and rotation of responsibilities
  • Analyze large amounts of data and maintain complex spreadsheets
  • Utilize various forecasting, reporting and general ledger software
  • Provide communication related to financial statements, data requests and month end closing processes
  • Proactively improve processes and business solutions
  • This position requires working additional hours during certain times of the month
