Analyst (Multiple Positions)(Closes 11/23/2026)

Allegheny County Department of Human Services•Pittsburgh, PA
•$80,000 - $88,000•Onsite

About The Position

Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS) is hiring multiple analysts for its Office of Analytics and Technology. Analysts use integrated human-services data to answer questions that shape services for County residents. The role supports child welfare, prevention and community services, aging, Medicaid, and behavioral health programs, working with program managers and leaders, Analytics and Technology colleagues, and academic and foundation research partners. Analysts own measurement, reporting, and data tools for their portfolios. They help program leaders understand service performance and where services break down, partner with staff to identify bottlenecks and test improvements, and build reusable, documented tools that make recurring reporting reliable and help partners answer routine questions independently. Areas of need include operations research and performance improvement, analytics engineering and automation, and Medicaid and behavioral health operations. Subject-matter knowledge of DHS programs is not required at hiring; analysts learn it on the job. The position is on-site in downtown Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and pays $80,000 to $88,000 per year. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without restriction and obtain Act 33, Act 34, and FBI clearances. The role has no supervisory responsibilities. Physical requirements include being able to sit for more than two hours, carry up to 10 pounds, and have reliable transportation for community work. Other duties may be assigned.
