About The Position

The Analyst will support EY’s Federal Tax Advisory Cost Segregation group by performing cost segregation studies, with a primary focus on developing detailed estimates from construction drawings. The role also involves gathering client data from sources such as invoices, fixed asset system details, construction-in-progress downloads, and other documentation, then organizing and summarizing it in Microsoft Excel. Compiled data is uploaded to and analyzed using DART, EY’s proprietary Access-based database tool. The Analyst translates information from varied sources into client deliverables, reviews construction documents to determine efficient study approaches, researches tax authorities and case law to support asset classifications and tax positions, and prepares engagement documentation. The role calls for adaptability across teams and management styles, attention to risk and process improvement, and the ability to apply case law to relevant facts and circumstances.
