About The Position

Under the responsibility of the Merchandise Accounting Supervisor, within the Operational Accounting team, the Store Accounting Analyst will provide an accounting service to the stores under his responsibility while analyzing what concerns the merchandise in store as well as various items appearing on the income statement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting OR equivalent experience
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience
• Good knowledge of Excel
• Knowledge of the complete accounting cycle
• Analytical mind
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple files
• Interpersonal skills
• Bilingualism required (Advanced French and English) both spoken and written, as the person will be required to work and communicate regularly in English while performing the tasks outlined above. Specifically, the role requires collaboration with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze store inventory management and make any necessary adjustments
• Contribute to the resolution of accounting problems in store operations
• Periodically analyze and document various balance sheet items related to store accounting
• Periodically analyze store income statement expense items
• Analyze average costs of non-standard merchandise and take corrective action where necessary
• Validate all data provided by the store and stakeholders
• Produce documents required by SOX standards
• Support store operations in their financial analysis
