This role will be instrumental in supporting the finance team and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the automotive industry or a multinational corporation.
  • Extensive understanding of accounting principles (IFRS, US GAAP), standards and financial reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in accounting software (SAP S4/HANA, Microsoft Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • A CPA or CA/ACCA designation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Create, review, and upload journal entries in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Support the finance team with journal entry questions and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with intra-group regulations and reporting requirements for all intra-group transactions.
  • Support in intercompany reconciliation and submission and reporting of financial statements for consolidation with VW Group Accounting monthly.
  • Support the accounting team in completing the accounting and financial statements for Scout Motors Inc. non-consolidated entity Scout Motors Sales LLC.
  • Support in preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Assist in accurate and timely month-end close process, including reconciliations of balance sheets and profit & loss accounts.
  • Support in accounts payable processes and system migrations.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support the preparation of audit schedules, including reconciliations and analyses of financial data.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within accounting operations to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new accounting systems or upgrades.
