About The Position

Salesforce is seeking a candidate for the Sales Strategy and Operations team. This role partners directly with sales leadership, focusing on strategic planning, sales optimization, and business operational support. The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams such as finance, employee success, marketing, and operations. It is a high-impact role with evolving priorities, requiring strategic thinking, execution planning, and leadership. Projects can range from Go-To-Market planning, product playbook development, tooling, data quality, business planning, market segmentation, sales pipeline management, and business performance reviews. Successful candidates will leverage data for insights, provide strategic recommendations, build scalable assets, and drive execution and organizational change. The role offers opportunities to combine business intuition, innovative inquiry, insights from sales leaders, and curiosity to uncover trends and deliver organizational impact. Sample projects include evaluating market opportunities, building reporting infrastructure, supporting product growth strategy, market segmentation, sales pipeline analysis, and key performance metric reviews.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of professional experience in a highly analytical role or strategy department.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with SQL and Tableau.
  • Degree or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • Experience will be evaluated based on core competencies for the role (e.g., extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Define key performance metrics and targets.
  • Build reports and dashboards to derive insights into business health, identify areas of weakness, and present improvement recommendations to sales leadership.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses across multiple data sets and tools (e.g., customer segmentation, sales participation, propensity to buy, white space).
  • Create executive-level presentations for local and global leadership reviews and organize quarterly business reviews.
  • Assist in troubleshooting operational issues and propose changes to systems and processes to address root causes.
  • Handle ambiguity and problem-solve using a structured, logical approach.
  • Demonstrate strong executive presence and stakeholder/cross-functional management experience.
  • Determine needs or conditions to meet new or altered products or projects, considering conflicting requirements of various stakeholders, and analyzing, documenting, validating, and managing software or system requirements.
  • Develop and facilitate practices that enable employees to create, use, or share information efficiently and effectively.
  • Project confidence while expressing thoughts and ideas with clarity, sincerity, and conviction; communicate with passion and honesty; share a compelling business vision that engages and influences others.
  • Use various modeling techniques, such as process modeling, data modeling, and use case diagrams, to visually represent business requirements and system functionalities.
