About The Position

We are currently seeking a Strategy Analyst to support the development and execution of investment planning and CAPEX strategy for a manufacturing plant. This individual will play a key role in providing governance at the director and VP level, leading industrial planning initiatives, and building and presenting strategic roadmaps, dashboards, and progress reports to leadership. The role involves overseeing project financial governance, monitoring costs (labor, materials, and other direct expenses), ensuring schedule compliance, and delivering profitability analyses to guide decision-making.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in a strategy, finance, or project control role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, financial modeling, cost analysis, and profitability evaluation.
  • Demonstrated experience in project control, project management, and cost governance for large-scale or complex initiatives.
  • Experience working within governance frameworks, including preparing and presenting materials to leadership (Director/VP level).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and reporting tools, with the ability to build dashboards, analyze data, and deliver actionable insights.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with experience presenting to cross-functional stakeholders and management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment, collaborating with operations, finance, and engineering teams.
  • Bilingual (English and French) required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree considered an asset).

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project financial governance.
  • Monitor costs, ensure schedule compliance, and conduct profitability analyses.
  • Develop and refine industrial strategies.
  • Assess medium- and long-term production capacity needs.
  • Support complex industrial, contractual, and financial initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and lead workshops to optimize production processes.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses to support management priorities and enhance visibility and performance across a portfolio of projects.
