About The Position

Cumberland, the cryptoasset arm of DRW, is seeking a Blockchain Strategy Analyst to join its blockchain product development team. This role will leverage your expertise in blockchain and finance to devise strategies aimed at expanding customer reach and strengthening market presence on the Canton Blockchain. Cumberland is a global leader in cryptoassets, established in 2014, and operates from offices in Chicago, London, and Singapore, providing 24-hour access to a wide range of cryptoassets while promoting responsible and sustainable evolution of the crypto ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience in analyzing business needs and translating them into product requirements.
  • Familiarity with data systems and software development practices.
  • Proven leadership abilities; a self-starter capable of working independently to drive results across multiple teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to tailor communication to different audiences and communicate at all organizational levels.
  • Strategic thinking skills to synthesize team requests and industry trends.
  • Strong business acumen, including analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends, root issues, and recommend solutions aligned with company objectives.
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Strong financial modeling experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Python programming skills with experience exploring large datasets.
  • Strong understanding of blockchain technology and its applications, as well as the web3 ecosystem.
  • Experience with decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols and applications.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze information from multiple data sources to provide actionable recommendations across business operations and technology.
  • Support Business Development and management in executing strategic growth opportunities, including the design and evaluation of economic models for strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to assess the feasibility of new business initiatives and design supporting processes.
  • Work closely with product managers and engineers to design, develop, and deliver high-value technology solutions.
  • Conduct market research and collect user feedback to identify user needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape.
  • Communicate requirements, domain expertise, and strategic concepts to technical teams.
  • Serve as a liaison between DRW business stakeholders and engineering teams to identify and resolve issues with new initiatives.
  • Ensure technology implementations align with stated business requirements.
  • Manage the prioritization of new products and initiatives for the business.
