About The Position

Evercore seeks to hire Analysts for its Liability Management & Restructuring Advisory Team in New York City. Evercore’s differentiated approach to advisory provides Analysts with the ability to work closely with senior bankers on industry-transforming, multi-billion dollar transactions around the world. The small transaction team structure creates a strong platform for Analysts to learn investment banking and assume high levels of responsibility at early stages of their careers. As part of the team, the Analyst will have the opportunity to work on a variety of strategic advisory assignments including: liability management and chapter 11 restructurings, tender and exchange offers, distressed M&A transactions, bank amendments, private and syndicated debt financings and, more broadly, evaluation of strategic alternatives.

Requirements

  • Ambitious, self-directed, creative and resourceful.
  • Passionately interested in a career in investment banking, intellectually curious and eager to learn.
  • Academically accomplished candidate with the ability to multitask.

  • Relentless work ethic and high energy level
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Calm under pressure with a demonstrated track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Intellectual curiosity and an interest in finance
  • Eagerness to learn and be involved in complex transactions
  • 1-2 years of experience in the finance industry

  • Experience in distress / restructuring or leveraged finance ideal but not required
