Make an impact with MNP Corporate Finance as an Analyst within our Capital Advisory practice. This growing team of professionals supports clients through refinancing mandates, growth capital initiatives, debt advisory engagements and special situations across the mid-market. As an analyst in the Capital Advisory team, you will work closely with business owners, lenders and senior team members and assist with executing financing solutions that support growth, acquisitions, recapitalizations, working capital requirements and turnaround situations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration, accounting or finance
  • Progress toward CPA required
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills
  • Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements and cash flow forecasts
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and presentation development capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented mindset with a strong client service focus and willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

  • Progress toward CFA or CBV designation considered an asset
  • 1–3 years of experience in corporate finance, commercial banking, financial analysis, transaction advisory or related fields considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of debt advisory and financing engagements including refinancing mandates, acquisition financing, growth capital initiatives and special situations engagements
  • Assist in financing processes including lender outreach, due diligence coordination and transaction execution
  • Prepare detailed financial models, cash flow forecasts, covenant calculations and liquidity analysis
  • Develop lender presentations, financing memorandums, management presentations and other client deliverables
  • Conduct financial statement analysis, working capital assessments and operational reviews to support lending and financing processes
  • Research industry trends, financing markets, lender appetite and comparable transactions
  • Assist with evaluating financing structures, capital alternatives and debt capacity analysis
  • Coordinate with lenders, clients and other advisors throughout financing and transaction processes
  • Participate in client meetings, lender calls and internal transaction discussions
  • Support business development initiatives including proposal preparation, market research and networking activities
  • Work collaboratively with engagement teams across Corporate Finance, Corporate Recovery & Restructuring, Tax and Advisory
  • Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
