About The Position

Databricks is hiring an Analyst Relations Manager to strengthen its position in AI, data management, security, business intelligence, and emerging markets. The role leads priority analyst evaluations, develops evidence and narratives that differentiate Databricks, and scales analyst relations work through AI-assisted workflows. It works across product, product marketing, sales, and executive teams to turn analyst insight into better product decisions, positioning, and field execution. The manager improves Databricks’ performance in analyst evaluations, including Gartner Magic Quadrants, Forrester Waves, and IDC MarketScapes, while increasing evaluation capacity and maintaining quality. The role develops reusable, analyst-facing proof points and narratives; increases analyst advocacy and market visibility; and prepares executives and technical experts for high-stakes analyst conversations. It also builds AI-assisted workflows for research, drafting, review, outreach, and follow-up, and translates analyst research, feedback, and evaluation outcomes into recommendations for product, marketing, sales, and executive teams.

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of experience in analyst relations, or in product or technical marketing with direct responsibility for major analyst evaluations.
  • A track record of improving analyst evaluation placement, market perception, or coverage, with results that can be clearly described.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to improve research, writing, or program workflows, and ability to identify and implement practical opportunities to scale.
  • Strong technical writing skills and ability to translate complex product capabilities into differentiated, evidence-based narratives that analysts and senior executives can evaluate quickly.
  • Strong program management skills, including managing multiple detailed, deadline-driven workstreams while maintaining quality and meeting commitments.
  • Experience preparing executives and technical experts for analyst conversations and aligning them on strategy, messaging, and proof points.
  • Ability to influence product, marketing, and sales partners, move work forward with limited support, and collaborate effectively on a small, fast-moving team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in data, analytics, AI/ML, or cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead priority analyst evaluations and improve Databricks’ placement and movement in Gartner Magic Quadrants, Forrester Waves, IDC MarketScapes, and similar evaluations.
  • Deliver evaluation questionnaires, RFIs, briefings, demonstrations, references, and fact checks on time and in full as evaluation volume grows.
  • Develop clear, scoreable proof points and narratives for reuse across analyst evaluations and briefings.
  • Increase analyst advocacy and market visibility, including analyst citations, quotations, references to Databricks experts and customers, and invitations to relevant events.
  • Prepare executives and technical experts for analyst inquiries, briefings, demonstrations, and advisory sessions by aligning them on narrative, differentiation, and proof points.
  • Build and operate AI-assisted workflows for RFI drafting and review, analyst outreach and follow-up, research summaries, and identifying analyst quotes and statistics.
  • Enable product marketing, product, and field teams to conduct repeatable research, drafting, and follow-up work with less direct analyst relations support.
  • Translate analyst research, inquiry feedback, and evaluation results into recommendations that influence product roadmaps, messaging, positioning, field plays, campaigns, deals, and executive narratives.
  • Collaborate with product, product marketing, sales, and executive teams to improve product decisions, positioning, and field execution.
