Position Overview This role is accountable for two primary objectives: that the Procurement organization delivers results in support of the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine R&D business strategy and objectives. The role works directly with the business partners, procurement leaders, and other function. Contributing to and leading operational execution of prioritized category strategy implementations, business projects, and other critical functional activities and deployments.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree, MBA or further advanced degree is desirable
  • Business acumen – the ability to understand challenges through the eyes of the regional business leaders
  • Influencing skills – the ability to persuade others to change behavior in pursuit of a common goal
  • Leadership and collaboration skills with peers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present complex information
  • Foundational understanding of core procurement areas of focus (spend management, source-to pay, technologies, and category strategy)
  • Project, change management, and process improvement capabilities
  • Demonstrated learning agility, and the ability to improve both yourself and the people around you
  • 10% of travel domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

  • Understand the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine business priorities and support IM Procurement Category Leaders to support strategies that advance those priorities
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure Procurement strategies are adopted within the business
  • Identify business area specific industry trends that Procurement must build into its category stratagies to ensure sustainable relevance to the business
  • Support strategic sourcing events and negotiations
  • Provide analytical support to team members
  • Deliver against performance targets for the Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine Procurement organization in the role’s areas of responsibility, and ensure target achievement
