About The Position
As an Analyst, Materials Planning, SIOP, you will help ensure the flow of materials and components needed to meet production and customer requirements. You will work with cross-functional teams to resolve production challenges and support on-time delivery of critical materials for manufacturing and Depot operations. The role is based onsite at the Chesapeake, Virginia facility.
Requirements
- Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using lean manufacturing concepts, with a proven track record of lean or Six Sigma project implementations.
- Experience with Wave track and material and inventory control systems such as Kanban, SMI, and Continuous Flow Manufacturing.
- Experience managing a product line.
Responsibilities
- Analyze, track, and report material availability.
- Release production orders in the MRP system and confirm them in the shop floor system.
- Coordinate the kitting process across multiple stores and consolidation areas.
- Support the production floor, including replacement part management, shop floor material staging, Work in Progress (WIP) movement through shared resource areas, completing units in the shop floor and MRP systems, delivering units to the next step (inventory or shipment), and meeting the MRP schedule.
- Maintain the integrity of shop floor, MRP, and inventory systems using key performance metrics.
