About The Position

Groupe Touchette is seeking a
Data Governance Analyst to support the
implementation and evolution of the organization’s data governance framework.

This role plays a key part in establishing standards, policies, and processes to
ensure data quality, reliability, security, and effective use of data across the
organization. You will collaborate with IT and business teams to structure and
govern strategic data assets.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Data, Analytics, or a related field
• Strong understanding of governance concepts (data ownership, stewardship, data quality)
• Experience in BI, ERP(SAP), or data environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Structured mindset with strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-evolving environment
• Bilingualism required: Proficiency in English is necessary due to frequent interactions with predominantly English-speaking pan-Canadian partners.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and evolution of the data governance framework
• Define, document, and maintain data policies, standards, and procedures
• Establish and maintain data dictionaries and data catalogs
• Define roles and responsibilities (data owners, data stewards)
• Ensure alignment of data practices with business objectives
• Define and monitor data quality KPIs (completeness, accuracy, consistency)
• Identify data quality issues and recommend remediation plans
• Collaborate with teams to improve data quality at the source
• Implement data validation and control rules
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
• Support data access, privacy, and security practices
• Document data flows and maintain data lineage
• Act as a point of contact for data governance initiatives
• Promote and support best practices across teams
• Collaborate with IT, BI, and business teams
