About The Position

The IT Business Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the profitable growth of TriMark by conducting analyses of category and customer profitability across divisions. This role translates analyses into actionable insights for sales teams, supports the development of profitability data sets, and facilitates ongoing project management and tracking of profitability initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years working with and in ERP systems and Business applications
  • Experience with InforSX, Total Warehouse Logistics (TWL), Progress OpenEdge DBMS, Hyperion/Oracle BI, SQL, and PowerBI
  • Handling Pricing & Billback Rebate management
  • Experience managing product and inventory data including pricing maintenance and price matrices
  • Translating business problems into IT solutions via logical and abstract thinking
  • Extensive experience with business analysis, quality assurance, and resource management methodologies and best practices
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

Nice To Haves

  • Working with EDI documents in ANSI x12/EDIFACT (810, 850) file formats
  • Experience working in Distribution related industry preferred (Purchasing, Warehouse, and Transportation)
  • Presentation skills/experience are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Manage data input and output using home-grown business profitability tools.
  • Audit applications and processes to ensure data integrity.
  • Develop new applications, tools, and ad hoc/refreshable reports to support root cause analysis and streamline processes.
  • Generate management reports and presentations illustrating division, segment, customer, category, and item profitability.
  • Provide recommendations and hypotheses on actions to improve profitability based on reports.
  • Support pricing decisions by analyzing current pricing vs. benchmarks and assessing potential changes' impact.
  • Serve as the primary trainer and subject matter expert in the use of business profitability tools for divisional management and sales teams.
  • Facilitate ongoing account review processes and track actions to provide updates on overall profitability impacts.
  • Work with the IT Liaison/JD Edwards project group to develop custom IT program specifications supporting user system requirements.
  • Perform full system testing prior to implementation.
