About The Position

This internship position is for a Summer 2027 Analyst Intern in Kansas City, MO. The role involves performing all aspects of projects, applying knowledge to future projects, and developing a general understanding of Myers and Stauffer services. The intern will assist in designing and maintaining Medicaid payment methodologies for healthcare providers, analyze large datasets using tools like SQL, Alteryx, and PowerBI to develop recommendations, and maintain confidentiality of protected health information. The position requires a positive attitude, professional appearance and manner, and the ability to work iteratively with team feedback. There is potential for this position to become a direct hire in a full-time role after graduation.

Requirements

Intern must be working toward a Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or related field
Possess and apply a solid understanding of the work environment; be punctual
Positive attitude toward self, other professionals, clients, and Myers and Stauffer
Ability to gain computer proficiency relative to administrative programs, spreadsheets, word processing, and internet research
Professional in appearance and manner

Maintain accurate, organized electronic documentation
Maintain strict confidentiality and security of protected health information
