Summer 2027 Internship - Kansas City
About The Position
This summer internship program offers a comprehensive learning experience focused on coaching, collaboration, professional development, leadership engagement, and networking within Lockton's award-winning culture. Interns will participate in talent development workshops, meet senior leadership, and engage in social and volunteer events. The program includes a group project tackling a real-world industry challenge, weeklong case studies to solve client issues, and career exploration activities. Interns will be embedded within an account team in Risk Solutions or People Solutions, supporting day-to-day activities to deliver exceptional client service and account management. They will gain exposure to brokerage operations, learn about Lockton's carrier relationships and client solutions, and support the preparation of proposals and presentations.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled college student scheduled to graduate Dec 2027 or May 2028
- Experience working in customer service and project management
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the need for current or future visa sponsorship now or at any time in the future

- Preferred majors include insurance, risk management, marketing, finance, or any other business-related field
Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day activities that help deliver exceptional client service and account management within a Lockton account team.

- Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and other materials used to serve and retain clients.
