About The Position

Kobre & Kim is a global law firm focused exclusively on disputes and investigations, with a strength in complex cross-border matters. The firm’s work spans financial products and services litigation, insolvency disputes, intellectual property litigation, international judgment enforcement and asset recovery, and U.S. government enforcement and regulatory investigations. The Analyst role is an elite cohort of early-career individuals who gain substantive, hands-on experience supporting complex international civil and criminal financial litigation. As members of case teams, Analysts work alongside attorneys and business professionals, with exposure to client matters, pro bono work, knowledge management and global business development. The work is varied and fast-paced, with responsibilities adapting to the needs of each matter. The firm is seeking intellectually curious graduates with strong research, writing, analytical and problem-solving skills. An interest in law, disputes, investigations or financial markets is a plus, but a legal background is not required. As Analysts progress, they develop highly desirable transferable skills in research and problem-solving, financial and quantitative analysis, project and matter management, and written and verbal communication. These skills open doors across a wide range of careers and industries. Requirements

Genuine interest in Kobre & Kim’s work and commitment to remain with the firm for a minimum of two years.
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university with a strong academic record.
Work authorization for your preferred location(s).
Strong academic, analytical, research and written communication skills.
Ability to work outside standard business hours as needed, including late nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on assignments.
Excellent teamwork, organization, project management, and attention to detail, with creative and anticipatory thinking skills.
Strong work ethic, proactivity, and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Attend court hearings and client meetings under attorney supervision.
Support preparation for court appearances (including trials), client meetings, and witness interviews.
Coordinate with local counsel, experts, investigators and other external service providers in support of cross-border matters.
Conduct factual and financial analysis in support of complex matters.
Conduct legal research under attorney supervision.
Draft court documents under attorney supervision.
Review and analyze disclosure and legal documents under attorney supervision.
Manage day-to-day case and matter administration.
Prepare attorney and client binders.
Maintain case and firm information systems.
