Analyst I

DATDenver, CO
Hybrid

About The Position

The Insights team at DAT turns data into decisions. We sit at the intersection of product, revenue, and operations, working across business lines to answer questions that actually change what the company does. As an Analyst I, you'll work alongside senior analysts and data engineers to help surface findings that inform product strategy, measure business performance, and advance self-service access to data across the organization. This is an early-career role with real scope; you'll do hands-on analytical work from day one, and you'll grow quickly if you're curious and like to dig.

Requirements

  • Strong SQL skills. You can independently write and troubleshoot queries to extract, filter, join, and aggregate data.
  • A clear, structured approach to problem-solving: You know how to scope a question before jumping to answers.
  • Good written and verbal communication. You can explain what you found and why it matters to someone who isn't in the data.
  • Intellectual curiosity. You follow up when something looks off and ask the next question when the first answer isn't complete.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau, Mixpanel, or similar)
  • Familiarity with Python or R for data manipulation or analysis.
  • A background in statistics, with descriptive methods at minimum and inferential a plus.
  • Exposure to product analytics tools (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or similar) and concepts such as event tracking or funnel analysis.
  • Experience with experimental methodologies (e.g., A/B testing) and analysis
  • Experience working with large or complex relational datasets
  • Prior work in a SaaS, technology, or data-intensive industry

Responsibilities

  • Answer business and product questions using data; pulling and querying datasets, building views, and delivering clear, well-documented findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards that help stakeholders track the metrics that matter to them
  • Partner with senior analysts on larger analytical projects, taking ownership of scoped workstreams
  • Document your work clearly so findings are reproducible and conclusions are defensible
  • Participate in requirements gathering with internal stakeholders, helping translate a business question into an analytical approach
  • Participate in the creation of tracking plans for new product features, working within DAT's instrumentation guidelines.
