About The Position

The Financial Analyst I is an entry level role designed for a recent graduate or early career professional seeking broad exposure to enterprise level financial planning and analysis. As part of Corporate FP&A, this role supports the company’s most critical planning, forecasting, and reporting activities. During the first 12–24 months, the analyst will gain exposure across multiple areas of Corporate FP&A and corporate functions, building a strong foundation in forecasting, financial modeling, variance analysis, and business communication. This role is intentionally designed to provide rotational style exposure across the enterprise, helping develop well rounded FP&A professionals with a strong understanding of how Advanced Energy plans, invests, and manages performance at the corporate level.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Prepare clear and structured variance analyses (what changed, why it changed, and what it means).
  • Support the creation of monthly dashboards and recurring reporting packages with clear takeaways for FP&A leadership.
  • Contribute to quarterly, annual, and long range planning cycles, including data gathering, consolidation, and analysis.
  • Partner with stakeholders across corporate functions to translate business activity into financial insights.
  • Ownership of specific components of monthly reporting and analysis as experience grows.
  • Improving forecast models, templates, and reporting workflows to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy.
  • Supporting enterprise wide initiatives such as ERP modernization, system enhancements, and reporting automation (testing, validation, and deployment support).
  • Contributing to special analytical projects (scenario modeling, resource allocation analysis, ROI assessments).
  • Gain hands on exposure across multiple areas within Corporate FP&A (e.g., consolidated reporting, functional OPEX support, planning cycles, strategic initiatives).
  • Collaborate with teams across Engineering, IT, Operations, and Corporate Functions.
