Requirements

• Bachelor's degree Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field; or experience in lieu of
• Exceptional time management and communication skills
• Strong data analysis and documentation abilities
• Strong working knowledge of general laboratory equipment
• Ability to communicate with people from various backgrounds
• Ability to work independently
• Eager to learn, take initiative, quick learner, and self-motivated
• Prioritize tasks assigned
• Organized and detail oriented
• Read and write in English, able to follow written/verbal instructions

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience working in an environmental laboratory is preferred
• Internal applicants may be considered in lieu of meeting minimum education and/or experience requirements

Responsibilities

• Perform sample analysis using GC/MS and GC/FID methods
• Collect, prepare and analyze samples within the laboratory environment
• Prepare lab for daily operations, including stocking materials, evaluating equipment, and performing safety and cleaning procedures
• Support the testing process by preparing samples for analysis
• Ensure appropriate testing procedures are conducted in compliance with Quality Assurance and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) requirements
• Schedule, prepare, and analyze samples based on method requirements within allotted time frame
• Review, complete, and process logs and additional documentation as required
