As the Analyst, Fleet Compliance you will support operation groups with regulatory compliance (licensing and permits) for commercial tractor and trailer fleets. You will work with all applicable Federal, state and local agencies in U.S. and Canada regarding compliance issues and provide information and support to various internal and external partners. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 1 year of related tax experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • 1-3 years of logistics or transportation experience
  • Self-motivated and able to work well independently or in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and renew permits and licensing on all commercial vehicles. Prepare renewal returns/applications by extracting data and analyzing current operations for changes that impact renewal of permits
  • Research/review regulatory issues (for all U.S state and Canadian Provinces) affecting operations and communicate instructions to local managers
  • Research and analyze operations of local offices to determine applicable regulatory requirements of their operations. Suggest changes to local managers that will minimize costs and improve operational flexibility of fleet
  • Provide first level support communicating with regulatory agencies regarding issues affection operations of all companies
  • Respond to inquiries from other departments, operations managers and regulatory officials (including law enforcement) regarding compliance issues and assist as needed
  • Act as first level contact for operations managers regarding compliance problems encountered in field.
  • Conduct preliminary research and analysis on regulatory issues as needed for all states and Canadian provinces
  • Maintain and update vehicle and regulatory data base systems to reflect changes in regulatory requirements and equipment status
