About The Position

At Willowdale Asset Management, we’re looking for passionate professionals who are eager to help us shape the future of our industry. As the Analyst on the Finance team, you will directly contribute to the development of newly created fund structures, partnerships and strategic initiatives; from initial analysis to final implementation. This role will engage in cross functional partnerships, understand the full asset life cycle and assist with processes end to end. This role is located at our Head Office in Vaughan, ON. This posting is a replacement position.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of corporate finance, investment, accounting, or consulting experience.
  • Experience in preparing pitch books and investor materials for the purposes of raising capital for development projects, equity funds, and/or debt financing.
  • Experience in preparing detailed and professional investment structuring financial models, presentations and/or reports.
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills, specifically in Excel.
  • Must be self-starter, a strategic thinker and have a service-oriented attitude that will encourage continuous improvement of service and performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Capital IQ is considered an asset.
  • Progress towards or completion of a designation such as CFA/CBV/CPA is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial and real estate focused analytical support to support the capital raising process.
  • Provide key insights using quantitative and qualitative data to generate pitch books for the purpose of sourcing external sources of capital.
  • Support with valuation cash flow models for maintaining the Corporate Valuation and annual Fair Market Value analysis of the Company’s Balance Sheet.
  • Monitor, interpret and communicate activity in the capital markets for relevant transactions that could affect the Company’s capital raising initiatives.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of the analysis and structuring of the Company’s growth initiatives.
  • Improve upon current tools and templates, and develop new ones, to streamline and standardize the capital needs analysis and future growth projections of the organization.
  • Assist with the development of presentation materials that outline findings in a clear, compelling, and professional manner (detailing financial feasibility, opportunities, risks, etc.)
  • Assist with the due diligence process for prospective and existing external capital partner relationships.
