About The Position

The Analyst, Corporate Accounting is a key member of the Corporate Accounting team and plays an important role in team success while learning and contributing to a variety of accounting tasks. The are detail-oriented, well-versed in transactional accounting, and motivated with a can-do attitude. This position will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance, with strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective multitasking, teamwork, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative approach to overcoming challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Major ERP system experience, preferably Oracle.
  • Experience with internal and external auditors.
  • CPA or CPA candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Perform month-end close activities including preparing and posting journal entries, analyzing variances, and using insights to identify process improvements.
  • Manage Intercompany Accounting and Treasury transactions, including Recurring budget-based intercompany billings for corporate shared services, such as healthcare, Corporate Communications, Wonderful Agency, and other allocated costs.
  • Manage Intercompany Accounting and Treasury transactions, including Miscellaneous intercompany billings resulting from Accounts Payable, Concur, and other corporate activity.
  • Manage Intercompany Accounting and Treasury transactions, including Monitoring bill-back activity and investigating unusual trends, variances, or unreconciled balances.
  • Manage Intercompany Accounting and Treasury transactions, including Recording and reconciling intercompany debt activity, including monthly and year-to-date debt rollforwards, for both lending and borrowing entities.
  • Manage Intercompany Accounting and Treasury transactions, including Recording and reconciling activity within the Corporate master concentration cash account and investigate reconciling items.
  • Partnering with Treasury, Accounts Payable, and business units to ensure intercompany balances are timely, accurate, and fully reconciled
  • Assist in completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Collaborate across functions to code corporate SG&A invoices and route through the appropriate approval matrix.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and proactively resolve reconciling items.
  • Analyze accounting transactions, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with various departments to quickly resolve any issues that arise surrounding job responsibilities.
  • Process recurring allocations such as healthcare, corporate communications, and Wonderful Agency charges.
  • Monitor and account for miscellaneous intercompany billings generated through Accounts Payable and Concur.
  • Record, reconcile, and analyze intercompany debt balances and related activity.
  • Record and reconcile master concentration cash account transactions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation, standardization, and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Drive improvement opportunities and best practices within business units to drive efficiency.
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure alignment with the rest of the team and to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Communicate in an effective and timely manner within the team and with other departments.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and inquisitiveness to learn more about work assignments, the department, and the company overall.
  • Assist in special projects and ad hoc requests such as supporting the year-end audit, internal financial reporting, compliance initiatives, and tax filings.
  • Show enthusiasm for learning new areas to broaden your expertise.
  • Serve as a reliable backup for certain functions in the department.
