About The Position

Toyota’s TMNA Corporate Accounting Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Senior Analyst, Corporate Accounting. The primary responsibility of this role is to support Corporate Accounting processes through accounting, financial reporting, analysis, and automation. This position performs complex accounting activities, develops automated reporting solutions, and serves as a key resource for AI, Blackline, and transformation initiatives that improve reporting accuracy, strengthen internal controls, streamline accounting processes, and enhance operational efficiency. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting the person in this role will support the Financial Reporting and Corporate Accounting’s department's objective for financial digital transformation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, financial systems, or finance analytics.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, BPC, Blackline, Workday, or similar enterprise financial systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Power Query, PivotTables, and advanced financial analysis) with experience developing automated reporting, interactive dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Experience designing or supporting ETL processes, data modeling, and financial reporting automation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA, CMA, or certifications in Power BI, Alteryx, SQL, Microsoft Fabric, data analytics, or AI/automation technologies.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Blackline, BPC, or other enterprise financial systems.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities while ensuring compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain executive financial reporting, dashboards, and KPI scorecards for the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Budget vs. Actual, and other management reporting using Power BI, SQL, Excel, Alteryx, Blackline, and other technologies.
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, business opportunities, and process improvement initiatives that support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Operations, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver data-driven insights and automated reporting solutions.
  • Extract, transform, validate, and integrate data from ERP systems (SAP, BPC, Blackline, Workday, or similar), SQL databases, Excel, and other financial systems to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL (extract, transform and load) processes, reusable datasets, semantic models, and reporting standards that improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and governance.
  • Automate recurring financial reporting and accounting processes to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and enhance operational efficiency through AI, automation, and low-code technologies.
  • Ensure data integrity through reconciliations, validation procedures, and quality assurance controls while documenting reporting workflows, automation logic, and technical processes.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning by leveraging historical, operational, and real-time financial data.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing financial schedules, reconciliations, documentation, and analytical reports.
  • Participate in transformation initiatives focused on financial systems, process optimization, automation, and continuous improvement across the Corporate Accounting organization.
