Requirements

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience, or 6 years of equivalent experience in lieu of the degree
2-years legal experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal
Analytical skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving and independent decision making
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work
Computer skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Nice To Haves

1-year of industry experience
Juris Doctor (JD) degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program
Experience supporting a front office sales organization
Experience analyzing and negotiating contracts

Responsibilities

Review, draft, negotiate, analyze, and discuss retail commodity contracts, confidentiality agreements, channel partner agreements, and other documents submitted for legal review in real time with internal and external stakeholders under moderate guidance from a supervising attorney.
Interpret and explain contractual terms, rights, and obligations to third parties, commercial teams, and functional groups.
Collaborate cross-functionally to update contract templates based on regulatory changes and business needs.
Represent the retail legal department in meetings to educate, train, and develop or improve processes.
Execute direction provided by retail transactional attorneys and broader legal department leadership.
