About The Position

Wunder is building a Modern Energy Company and is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented, and industrious analyst to join their Asset Management team. This role involves ensuring solar systems are producing optimally, diagnosing underperformance issues by analyzing production data and identifying root causes, and collaborating with construction partners to implement solutions. The analyst will also be responsible for tracking revenue and lease payments, processing escalations, and generating customer reports. This is a full-time, in-office position at the company's Boulder, CO headquarters.

Requirements

  • 1-2+ years of experience or a recent graduate with a solid foundation from a previous internship, part-time, or full-time role.
  • Electrical background (degree in Electrical Engineering, experience as an electrician, or hands-on experience with power systems, controls, or instrumentation).
  • Ability to look at a single-line diagram and reason about what's happening on the DC and AC sides of a system.
  • Methodical troubleshooting skills: ability to form a hypothesis, test it, rule it out, and move to the next one.
  • Ability to distinguish between a number that looks wrong and a number that is wrong, and execute intentional steps to determine the root cause.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Eagerness and readiness to learn about commercial solar systems, hardware, failure modes, and contracts.
  • Team ethos: ability to thrive in a creative, inventive, fast-paced rapid-growth environment.
  • Ability to articulate and roll out solutions, recognizing there are many solutions to the same problem.
  • Ability to find new and effective ways to streamline and create processes to increase efficiency.
  • Must currently live in, or be willing to relocate to, the Boulder/Denver area.

Responsibilities

  • Compare live production data against weather-adjusted performance models to spot underperformance.
  • Dig into inverter and meter data to diagnose the cause of underperformance.
  • Drive the fix for underperformance issues with construction partners.
  • Help build and improve processes and tooling for asset management.
  • Track revenue and lease payments.
  • Process annual PPA and lease rate escalations.
  • Build reporting that customers rely on.
